Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We have the great honour and pleasure to invite you to attend the XIIth European Symposium on Platelet and Granulocyte Immunobiology to be held in Warsaw, Poland, May 10-13th, 2012.
For the Symposium venue we have chosen the Warsaw Hyatt Regency Hotel as conveniently located in the heart of the city. This commercial and business area offers both peaceful and quiet surroundings as well as an easy access to the international airport and numerous tourist attractions which our city offers.
The Symposium will provide the participants with the opportunity to attend lectures and selected oral presentations on platelet and granulocyte immunobiology as well as genetics given by world acclaimed experts. We also extend a cordial invitation to participate in a poster exhibition.
We hope the Symposium will be an inspiring event for both physicians who are often first to spot health problems as well as diagnosticians and scientists who are equipped and have the necessary means and expertise to help to resolve them.
The Scientific Committee of the Symposium is currently preparing an interesting international forum focused on the exchange of recent developments in the field of platelet and granulocyte biology with peers from different regions of the world.
While in Poland you might also have the chance to visit some regions of our beautiful country. The picturesque landscapes extend from the white sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea coastline to the formidable rocky peaks of the Tatra mountains. The eastern region of our country – the breath-taking Mazury lake-district - is currently aspiring to the Nature Seven Wonders of the World. On the one hand Poland offers the magical atmosphere of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches and castles scattered all over the country but also monuments of quite recent European history. There are two particularily distinguished tourist destinations; Kraków, the former capital now one of the leading academic, cultural and artistic centres and Gdańsk with its historical architecture and artistic spirit, which had witnessed the birth of the SOLIDARITY movement.
We do hope that you will not miss the chance of visiting us in Poland for the Warsaw Symposium in May 2012.
